The Parks Division manages all land the City of Stafford owns and operates including City Hall, Stafford Civic Center, Stafford Centre, the Stafford Cemetery, and six parks. The parks total more than 30 acres. All parks include benches, picnic tables, water fountains, and various amenities.
The City's Recreation Department oversees the City pool and the Stafford Civic Center. In addition, the department regularly assists with events and operations at the Stafford Centre.
The Civic Center has much to offer as a rental venue. We have wedding receptions, dance recitals, bodybuilding, plays, concerts, parties, dances, graduations, pageants, business meetings, trade shows, and conferences to name a few. The Civic Center offers an intimate setting for your event as you will be the only ones in the building.
The Stafford Centre opened its doors in March of 2004, with a spectacular lineup on its grand opening weekend. Performances by the Moscow Ballet, Houston Symphony, and the Fort Bend Boys Choir gave credence to Mayor Leonard Scarcella’s vision to bring arts and entertainment to Fort Bend County, Texas.
