RE: Local Disaster Declaration
The City of Stafford first responder crews have been actively responding to the winter weather impacts and supporting our community through response and recovery operations. To ensure we can continue coordinating resources efficiently and request assistance if needed, the City has issued a Local Disaster Declaration.
Our priorities throughout this event remain life safety, property protection, and the maintenance of essential services. We are continuing to coordinate with our public safety teams and partner agencies and will provide updates as conditions change and services return to normal.
Please stay informed through official City communications. Our multimedia team is sharing updates and safety information on SMETV, and you can follow the City of Stafford on social media for verified information.
If travel is not necessary, please avoid driving until conditions improve. Continue checking on neighbors, especially seniors, and anyone who may need additional help, and follow official guidance.
Finally, thank you for your continued support and cooperation throughout this event. We also want to recognize and thank our Mayor and City Council for standing firmly behind our first responders and ensuring they have what they need to serve the community safely and effectively.
Thank you, and please stay safe.
