The Support Services Division is overseen by a Captain and Lieutenant. The division provides critical investigative, administrative, and communications support to the department.
The division encompasses the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), which is staffed by a Sergeant, seven Detectives and one Investigator assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). CID is responsible for reviewing and conducting follow-up investigations of criminal offenses and preparing criminal cases for filing with the District Attorney’s Office with the goal of achieving successful prosecution.
The division also includes the Crime Scene Unit & Property Room, which is staffed by two Criminalists, responsible for crime scene processing, evidence collection, forensic analysis, and property room management.
The Crime Victim’s Liaison assists victims throughout the investigative and judicial process and one Administrative Assistant who supports daily divisional operations.
Emergency communications within the division are overseen by two Dispatch Supervisors and staffed by twelve Dispatchers who manage 9-1-1 calls and radio communications.
Records management is handled by two Records Clerks, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and accessibility of departmental records.
Together, the personnel assigned to the Support Services Division play a vital role in supporting patrol operations, investigative functions, and public service, contributing to the overall effectiveness and professionalism of the Stafford Police Department.
