Comprehensive Plan

The City of Stafford’s Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the City Council on December 2, 2015. The original plan was written in 1971. Comprehensive Plans create a blueprint for the next 25 years by prioritizing goals, objectives, and strategies in regard to future land use, transportation, infrastructure, housing, economic development, and parks and open space. This plan creates a guidance document for enforcing policy city-wide. The two-year update involved many public outreach opportunities through electronic and mailed surveys, newsletter updates, advisory committee meetings, and public meetings.
