Building Permits and Inspections
Allowable land use depends upon the zone in which your property is located. Zoning regulations are intended to protect existing land uses, to make sure that uses are compatible with each other, and to ensure that there are adequate available public facilities and services. Building Permits and Inspections
The customer must submit two sets of plans to the Building Permit Department, along with a completed Building Permit Application. Staff will then review the form and plans for completeness, and you will be assessed a permit and/or plan check fee. A Certificate of Occupancy is issued only AFTER there is approval from the following entities: Building, Zoning, City Engineer, and the Fire Marshal. View Construction Permits for more information.
