Captain Nathan Cohn

Captain Cohn began his law enforcement career in 2007, serving as a Deputy Sheriff with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia. He later joined the Stafford Police Department in 2013, where he currently serves as Captain over the Office of Professional Standards & Training.

Throughout his career, Captain Cohn has held a wide range of assignments, including Patrol Officer, Traffic Enforcement Officer, Special Response Team member, Field Training Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and now Captain. This diverse operational and supervisory experience has provided him with a strong foundation in leadership, accountability, and professional development.

Captain Cohn attended Georgia College & State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and graduated on the Dean’s List. His professional achievements include graduating from the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) Leadership Command College and earning the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award, along with completing numerous additional law enforcement leadership and professional training programs.

In his current role, Captain Cohn is responsible for overseeing professional standards, training, and internal accountability, ensuring the Stafford Police Department maintains the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and excellence in service to the community.
